We use the best down (800-fill-power) and a new polyester shell fabric: extremely tough and durable, but still lightweight, windproof and, like the lining, downproof and water-repellent. The drawcord hood's small draft tube cleanly encircles your face; internal mesh drop-in pockets stow water bottles or spare mitts. Other fine points include soft, light, perforated hook-and-loop elasticized wrist cuffs and new reinforcements on shoulders and cuffs for greater durability. Fit is relaxed for layering. Deluge DWRPatagonia?s proprietary durable water repellent fabric finish, Deluge DWR, lasts substantially longer than standard DWRs. Garments with the Deluge DWR finish have like-new repellency after years of extensive use.
