Academy Awards Fashion 2005
What were the stars wearing to the Academy Awards on 27 Feb 2005?
Here, we take a look at their outfits and get some fashion tips based on their looks.
At the Oscars, the audience was a sea of black, with a smattering of whites and colors. As usual, red was a popular color. This time around, though, yellow and pastels prevailed.
There was less cleavage shown at these Academy Awards. More class, more elegance, less hooker style flashiness. Pastel yellows and pale golds were popular. 2 of the women nominees for the best documentary award wore yellow. The female half of the winning duo wore a yellow gown with a greenish tinge. Penelope Cruz wore a yellow satin bustier gown as a presenter.
As usual, black was a staple for the awards. Kirsten Dunst and Julia Roberts were amongst the presenters who wore black.
This time around, shoulders are the new erogeneous zone. You see less cleavage, but more beautiful shoulders, bared in bustiers, sleeveless gowns, evening gowns with interesting shoulder straps. Cate Blanchett accepted her oscar for best supporting actress, while wearing a beautiful, assymetrical yellow green gown that bared one shoulder.
This section takes the cue from the Oscar fashion style. These are what is hot in the coming season, based on what stars wore to the oscars.
